Learn about the ecosystem while paddling in the Preciosa-Platanares Wildlife Refuge, an adventure and nature experience all in one.

This tour leaves from Puerto Jiménez beach and visits the Wildlife Refuge Preciosa-Platanares. In this mangrove ecosystem you can see 6 of the 8 different species of mangrove trees we have in the country. You may also see diverse species of marine and coastal birds, as well as various reptiles like crocodiles, iguanas, and snakes.
This tour takes place during high tide, which changes on a daily basis. Be sure to ask when the tour begins on your tour date.
Things to bring: Sunscreen, insect repellent, sandals, light and quick dry clothes, hat or cap, swimsuit/dry clothing, water and snacks, camera, binoculars (optional) and sunglasses (optional).

8:45 a.m. Meet your guide and review kayak safety.*
9:00 a.m. Begin your maritime adventure.*
10:30 a.m. Short break at the beach to eat fruits and jump to the sea if you want.
12:00 p.m. End of tour.
